Normally, I have a better grasp of the story I’m trying to write, and this one is a reworking of one that I already had some written on, but I was convinced by a number of factors that it would never be able to sell, given the villain and their motivations. So I changed a few things. Apparently, that isn’t sitting well with my subconscious. I have literally hated every sentence I’ve written. It’s been a struggle.
