Notes:

  • Didn’t start writing until way late, but I have an excuse. This morning, I critiqued stories for my usual, bi-weekly critique group. But then, instead of going to critique, I went to my friend D’Ann Renner‘s book release party for her newly published book Dancing from the Shadows. We got signed copies and then went out to eat, and it was about 8:00 pm when we got back. I had to finish and then send off my critiques from this morning, and then Facebook ate almost two hours. Silly Facebook.
  • Today, I wrote about what I’m calling “selective invisibility.” It’s when a psion doesn’t want to be seen, he can convince you that he wasn’t there. And that you never spoke to him. And then when he walks away, you shake your head and think, “What was I doing?” and go on about your business. Meanwhile, someone’s just stolen something or gotten some information out of you and you’ll never remember.
  • Today’s vignette took place in and around Boise, Idaho, so I had to look up salient information about Boise and Mountain Home, Idaho. Specifically, bus routes between them, airports in the area, a map of the Boise airport, and a location of a medium-security prison in Idaho. Yes, my vignette today involved someone going to prison for a crime committed in Mountain Home, Idaho and attempted to escape via Boise. I apologize to the people of Boise and Mountain Home for how wrong I got it all. :)
