Notes:

  • I had a real devil of a time getting going today. It was well after 4 pm before I finally got to typing. At first, I procrastinated with reading the stories I have to read for critique tomorrow. Then I commenced with the cat-waxing. I actually thought briefly about reorganizing this site until I realized that it was all part of waxing the cat and I should just stop and write.
  • Once I got going, it was okay, but getting over that first-word hurdle was just . . . Gah!
  • Interesting things I had to look up: The assassination of Robert Kennedy, el chupacabra, cattle mutilation, more genetics, a historical time table of human technological developments. It never occurred to me that “The Bronze Age” or “The Iron Age” might be different ranges of time depending on the civilization one is talking about. So there’s that little tidbit now occupying some cells in my brain. Oh, and the European witch hunts and werewolf scares, ergot poisoning, Peter Stubbe/Stumpp, and the Loch Ness Monster.
